Our Refund Promise

We want you to be happy with TheBJJ.app. If you're not satisfied with your Pro subscription, we offer a straightforward refund process. Read on for the details.

1. Who Handles Billing

All payments for TheBJJ.app are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means:

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), you have the right to withdraw from a digital content purchase within 14 days of the transaction, without giving any reason.

However, by subscribing and accessing the Pro features immediately, you acknowledge and consent that:

In accordance with Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of digital content and acknowledge that you thereby waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once the digital content has been fully provided.

This waiver is presented clearly during the checkout process. If you do not consent, you may wait 14 days before accessing Pro features to preserve your withdrawal right.

3. Satisfaction Guarantee

Regardless of the withdrawal waiver above, we offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee on your first payment — whether monthly, annual, or Lifetime:

Lifetime Purchases

Lifetime access is a one-time payment. The 14-day satisfaction guarantee applies. After 14 days, Lifetime purchases are non-refundable — you have purchased permanent access to the service.

Exceptional circumstances (service outages, billing errors) are still covered under section 8.

4. Refunds for Renewals

For automatic renewal payments (second payment onwards):

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

5. Cancellation vs Refund

These are two different things:

Cancellation

Stops future billing. You keep access until the end of your current paid period. No money is returned.

Refund

Returns money for a charge. Your Pro access is reverted when the refund is processed.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  2. Include your account email address
  3. We'll confirm your request and process it through Paddle

Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

7. Price Changes and Refunds

If we increase prices, you will receive at least 30 days' notice before the change affects your subscription. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect. Cancelling due to a price increase within 7 days of a renewal at the new price qualifies for a full refund of that renewal.
